How DL Legal Advisory collects, processes and protects your personal data, in compliance with the Swiss revFADP and the EU GDPR.
This privacy policy transparently describes the data processing practices of DL Legal Advisory in relation to personal data collected through the website www.dl-legal.ch. It is established in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP, in force since 1 September 2023) and, to the extent applicable, with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

As a boutique sole proprietorship, the designation of a Data Protection Officer (DPO) is not required under the revFADP. Any data protection request should be addressed directly to the owner at the email above.
A. Navigation data (automatic)
When visiting the website, the hosting server (Infomaniak) automatically records technical data for security and operational purposes: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, page requested, date and time of request. This data is not combined with other information that would allow individual identification.
B. Website analytics (Google Analytics)
The website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect pseudonymous information about how visitors use the website, including pages visited, session duration, browser type and device. IP addresses are anonymised before transmission and are not stored by DL Legal Advisory.
You may opt out of Google Analytics at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by adjusting your browser settings to block cookies.
C. Contact form
This data is used solely to respond to your request. No automated processing, profiling or transfer to third parties for commercial purposes takes place.
D. Language and theme preferences (browser)
The selected language (FR or EN) and display theme (light/dark mode) are stored in the user's browser local storage only (dl_lang, dl-theme). This data never leaves the browser and is not transmitted to our servers.
E. What we do not collect
DL Legal Advisory does not collect sensitive data (health, origin, political opinions, financial data), does not deploy any advertising tracking or remarketing tools, does not maintain any mailing list or newsletter, and does not create user accounts.
No fully automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 21 revFADP or Art. 22 GDPR is applied to the data processed.

The website is hosted exclusively in Switzerland by Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva and Lausanne), acting as data processor under the revFADP pursuant to a data processing agreement compliant with applicable legal requirements.
With the exception of the services identified below (Google Fonts and Google Analytics), no personal data is transferred outside Switzerland in the ordinary operation of the website.
Note — Google Fonts: the website loads typefaces from Google servers (fonts.googleapis.com), which technically transmits the visitor's IP address to Google LLC (United States). To avoid this transfer, you may block this domain in your browser settings; the website remains fully functional with system fallback fonts. DL Legal Advisory is considering self-hosting the fonts on Infomaniak in a future version of the website.
Note — Google Analytics: the website uses Google Analytics 4, operated by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Pseudonymous analytics data (including anonymised IP address) is transmitted to Google’s servers, which may be located in the United States or other countries. The transfer is governed by a Data Processing Agreement between DL Legal Advisory and Google Ireland Limited, incorporating the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the Swiss Annex, in accordance with Art. 16(2)(d) revFADP and Art. 46 GDPR. Google is also certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. DL Legal Advisory has enabled IP anonymisation and has disabled advertising features and data sharing for Google products.
DL Legal Advisory does not place any advertising, third-party tracking or profiling cookies. The website uses only:
_ga, _ga_*Set by Google Analytics 4. _ga stores a pseudonymous visitor identifier (randomly generated); _ga_* maintains session state. Retention: 2 years. No advertising use. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
dl_langStores your language preference (FR or EN). Purely local to the browser, not transmitted to the server. No consent required (strictly necessary functionality).
You may clear your browsing data at any time through your browser settings without affecting navigation on the website.
The website contains a link to the DL Legal Advisory LinkedIn profile (linkedin.com/in/dlobertreau). Any navigation on LinkedIn is subject to the privacy policy of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company. DL Legal Advisory has no control over data that LinkedIn collects during your visit.
Google Analytics 4
The website uses Google Analytics 4 to analyse website traffic and improve user experience. Google Analytics collects pseudonymous usage data (pages visited, session duration, device and browser type) using cookies. IP addresses are anonymised before any data is transmitted to Google. No advertising features or cross-site tracking are enabled. DL Legal Advisory has entered into a Data Processing Agreement with Google Ireland Limited. For further details, see sections 2(B) and 5 above.
No advertising or social tracking
The website does not embed any advertising pixels, social sharing buttons or other third-party behavioural tracking tools (Meta Pixel, HubSpot, etc.).
In accordance with the revFADP and, for EU residents, the GDPR, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
To exercise these rights, submit a written request to contact@dl-legal.ch. Response guaranteed within 30 days (Art. 25 revFADP). Proof of identity may be requested.
DL Legal Advisory implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, disclosure, modification or destruction, in accordance with Art. 8 revFADP. These measures include encryption of communications (HTTPS/TLS), use of a Swiss hosting infrastructure and restriction of data access to authorised persons only.
In the event of a data breach likely to result in a high risk to your rights, DL Legal Advisory will take the measures required by the revFADP, including notification to the competent authorities and, where appropriate, to affected individuals.
The transmission of information by email or online form cannot be guaranteed as entirely secure. It is advisable not to transmit confidential or sensitive information via the contact form without having first discussed this with DL Legal Advisory.
The website www.dl-legal.ch is exclusively intended for professionals and businesses. DL Legal Advisory does not knowingly collect personal data from persons under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal data to us, please notify us so that we may delete it.
